Project overview
The CECIC HKE Zhangbei Lvnaobao Wind Power Project Project is a 67-turbine installation in Zhangbei County, Hebei Province, China, supplying renewable electricity to the North China Power Grid. The site sits at an altitude of 1,450 to 1,680 metres, just south of the Inner Mongolia plateau, in a geographic zone characterised by intense and consistent wind currents. The project is developed by CECIC HKE under the China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), and is registered with Verra under VCS 727 using the ACM0002 methodology.
The project avoids an estimated 220,000 tCO₂e per year, supplying over 241 GWh of clean, zero-emissions electricity annually to the North China Power Grid, which relies overwhelmingly on coal and has a grid emission factor which is among the highest globally (around 1.0549 tCO₂e per MWh). The project has an installed capacity of 100.5 MW.

- Zero process water required: The project generates electricity without consuming local freshwater, safeguarding regional water tables compared with thermal power plants.
