Before joining Green Earth, Thomas spent nearly a decade at Philips, where he began in the global management trainee programme in the Netherlands. During his tenure, he gained experience in both the lighting and healthcare portfolios, serving in strategic as well as operations roles. He established a competency for designing and executing long-term strategic projects, including public-private partnerships (PPPs), and managed their implementation.  In his final assignment at Philips, he led the Maintenance Services and Solutions Sales organisation in the Middle East and Turkey. 

Thomas’ love for nature began when he was a young child, exploring the Red Sea whilst living in Egypt and collecting fossils and encyclopaedias. He is a proud husband and father of two. His favourite trees are the three cherry trees in his front yard. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a Master's in Strategy from Radboud University Nijmegen.
