After the first round of the successful Regional Climate Summit in 2022, the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP) announced that it will continue collaborating with the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and other supporting partners to host a second round of the Regional Climate Summits in 2023.

The Regional Climate Summits are an opportunity to involve the community in carbon markets and carbon pricing all over the world. These climate summits will be set up as two-day in-person conferences with a local and an international focus. There will be a pre-day for every summit, including extra meetings and seminars.
The dates for the 2023 Regional Climate Summits are as follows:
European Climate Summit (ECS): 28–30 March 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal.
North America Climate Summit (NACS): 19–21 September 2023 in New York City.
Latin America Climate Summit (LACS): 27–29 June 2023 in Panama City, Panama.
Asia-Pacific Climate Summit (APCS): 24–26 October 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.
The 2023 ECS will be the first summit. The 2023 ECS is an in-person summit organised by IETA in association with ICAP, with some sessions having a hybrid structure to allow for online participation. The summit will include a central Carbon Market Square featuring a networking area, high-level plenaries, workshops, roundtables, coffee breaks, and receptions.
