Nature-based solutions
Podcast
How do you go from a sketch on paper into a 40-year reforestation programme—or a clean-cookstove project that dramatically cuts household firewood demand and pays for itself in healthier lungs and less air pollution? In this episode, we sit down with Thomas Donia, Technical Director at DGB Group, to unpack the engineering–meets–entrepreneurship that powers high-quality carbon and biodiversity projects.
In this conversation, you’ll discover:
- Why project design starts with 55 minutes of defining the problem and only five minutes of “trees go here.”
- How dynamic baselines, digital MRV and on-the-ground stakeholder incentives keep credits secure.
- How we risk-proof a project, from diversification and local partnerships to what happens when chimps raid a sugar-cane field.
- How to make sure a project will yield positive results for nature and investors.
Tune in for an interesting listen on what it takes to get amazing nature-based projects off the ground.
