In the Kenian nursery

The seeds and seedlings have been planted in the nurseries, where they are prepared for transfer to the final destination in the post-summer rain season.

The DGB.earth Afforestation project in Kenya will engage over 20,000 farmers and create employment opportunities for thousands of people in local communities.

Much of the planting will be of fruit tree species which has both direct economic benefit to local farmers who will be able to sell produce, and provides long term incentives for the project participants to maintain the quality and health of the forest.

In this video you see one of our 15 tree nurseries in the area.
